Apple has a new MacBook Pro with Retina display announced. The notebook has an ips screen with a screen diagonal of 13 inches and a resolution of 2560×1600. The laptop has no optical drive and is 1.9 cm thick. There is no additional gpu in addition to the igp of the Intel processor.

The new Retina notebook comes not as a surprise, and it was already clear that Apple with a 13″version of the previously announced 15″-MacBook Pro with Retina display would come up. The resolution of the novice is in both the height if the width is doubled compared to the 1280×800 resolution of the regular MacBook Pro: 2560×1600. As with the 15″version is going to have a ips panel with brightness of 300 nits and viewing angles of 178 degrees.

An optical drive is missing and also there is no hard drive present. This is partly why the thickness is limited: the laptop is 1.9 cm thick and the weight is 1.6 kilograms. In the field of i/o interfaces, it is there on the left, a duo of Thunderbolt ports, in addition to a usb 3.0 port and an audio output. To the right are the memory card reader, hdmi and usb 3.0.

It is notable that Apple decided not to use a dedicated graphics card on the 13″-MacBook Pro Retina add, such as the 15″variant. The notebook must be with the integrated video chip of the Intel processor, where the MacBook Pro Retina 15″, Nvidia GeForce GT650M for more graphical horsepower.

There are two versions of the MacBook Pro 13″ Retina. The model with Core i5 dual-core with clock speed of 2.5 GHz, 8GB ram and ssd of 128GB in 1779 euros in costs. The other model will have the same processor and same amount of memory, but the ssd has a storage capacity of 256GB. The price of this model is to 2079 euros.

Apple provides the ability to the MacBook Pro 13″ Retina upgrade. For example, the notebook in place with a Core i5 will be equipped with a Core i7 dual-core and is the memory expandable to 768GB.
