HP has its Open WebOS software from b lwa ta met. The final release is accompanied by Enyo 2.0, a new version of the bus. The source code of Open WebOS 1.0 under an open source license available.

The computer manufacturer has revealed that the development after the release of Open WebOS 1.0 will continue in the future, new releases are expected. Incidentally, it was already a full release of Open WebOS, but it still had an older version of the chinese Enyo and also had a HP here a beta label hung on it. The final, however, seems to have no major changes to know.

With the final release of Open WebOS officially and can be ported to hardware, according to HP. For that purpose, the company has a separate version released, the OpenEmbedded version. Incidentally, HP has a demo video released with WebOS on a Touchsmart-all-in-one running. This allows HP to see that the WebOS also as a desktop operating system will see.

Although with the release of the open-source operating system, still no new devices have been announced, HP’s WebOS may be able to use again. The company had previously namely know on mobile devices focus. Moreover, the development of WebOS, now housed in a specially created company called Gram; future releases will probably by this firm be released.
