Ballmer: Microsoft focuses on devices and services

According to Microsoft ceo Steve Balmer, the company has a major change of course made, and it focuses now on the ‘devices and services’. The ceo let it know that Microsoft in the future, more likely the hardware will make.

Ballmer made his statements in a letter to the shareholders of the company. He writes therein that, to the future plans of the company to understand, people should realize that the company is a large change because the entire technology industry today. Microsoft sees itself not primarily as a software company, it focuses, according to Ballmer now essentially on two aspects: devices and services. He calls that a significant shift compared to the past.

Ballmer emphasized that Microsoft’s new hardware will develop, if it deems it necessary, such as, for example, did with the Xbox or with its upcoming Surface tablets. The ceo stressed that partners remain important for Microsoft, because with an audience of more than a billion users there are many different devices to meet all the different needs.
