Toshiba introduces three enterprise ssd series

The Storage division of Toshiba has three series of solid state drives for the enterprise market released. The new drives, three PX02-variants, are intended for servers and be with 24nm – or 19nm flash memory is produced.

The instaplijn of the three series PX02-ssd consists of the PX02AM ssds, which are equipped with 24nm-flashheugen from enterprise-mlc-chips is built. The sata-600 drives are supplied in capacities of 100GB, 200GB or 400GB and would be all-rounders should be in a 7mm high pack. The also with 24nm-emlc chips built PX02SM series is, according to Toshiba designed for demanding server applications. The SM-series is also equipped with a dual sas interface for transfer rates of up to 12Gbps and the drives in capacities of 200GB, 400GB, 800GB and 1.6 TB available.

The third series PX03-ssd’s, the PX03AN series, with flash memory, that according to a smaller process is created equipped. The 19nm flash memory is consumer mlc memory, but would nevertheless be designed for read-intensive tasks, or as boot drives. The drives are available in capacities of 55GB, 120GB, 240GB or 480GB and have a sata-600 interface. The drives come in the last quarter of this year on the market, but prices are not yet known.
