On the internet are the first photos leaked of a new compact camera from Fujifilm. The model is likely equipped with the same 2/3″sensor as the Fujifilm X10 camera and like that device is a manual zoom lens.

The compact camera will probably be part of Fujifilms X-line, an indication that the booking is for high-end cameras. Digicame-Info, the images published, is not sure of the type, but “X-P1” and “X-F1′ if possibilities suggested.

The compact camera offers a 4x zoom lens with a range of 6,4-25,6 mm and an aperture of f/1,8-4,9. Especially for such a small compact camera is that with this lens, manually zoom in and out, can be. Also the X-S1-advanced bridge camera, and the X10, a high-end compact camera with optical inzoomende viewfinder, a lens with a manual zoom.

We compare the focal lengths, then it appears that we are not dealing with a compact camera with a standard 1/2,3″image sensor, or even a 1/1,7″variant, as used in high-end models of Canon and Panasonic, but with probably the same 2/3″sensor as the Fujifilm also used in the X-S1 and X10.

So has that last a 7,1-28,4 mm lens with an effective range of 28-112mm in small. We use the same crop factor for the new compact camera, then we come to an effective range of about 25-100mm. The 2/3″sensor is in size between the 1/1,7″-size, which in most high-end compact cameras is used, and the 1″format in the new Cybershot RX100 from Sony and the Nikon 1 milc-series of Nikon.

The expectation is that Fujifilm X-P1 or X-F1 during the Photokina fair in Cologne will officially announce. Also is allegedly the X-E1 is presented, a simpler version of the current X-Pro1 with electronic viewfinder instead of a hybrid variant. The Photokina will be held from 18 to 23 september.
