Peter Moore, coo of publisher Electronic Arts, will see nothing in 3d. He was already skeptical before Sony and Nintendo equipment to bring to market for 3d games and still is. EA is in no way on the 3d focused, says Moore.

‘3D is not on the list of things that we as a company are focused on. When I go to gaming look, it seems it is not a major factor,’ says Peter Moore in an interview with website Eurogamer.

Moore, chief operating officer of publisher Electronic Arts, made his decision following the press conference of Sony during the GamesCom this year. Where the Japanese company over the last years during such meetings, the 3d glasses gave them to show the games in 3d to view, the presentation is now entirely in 2d.

According to Moore, is that a sign on the wall. ‘It’s just not a technology that foot on the ground has gotten in the game world. I was 18 months ago, skeptical and still am.’ In July, John Riccitiello, ceo of EA, although a similar sound is heard. Riccitiello said that EA is not interested in the 3d gamemarkt and expect more from mobile, social and online games.

Jim Ryan, head of the European branch of Sony, explained to website CVG why at the press conference no 3d to be seen. “That during the press conference to see, I would not be too much behind search. Two years ago we had the technology to see during E3 and everyone put his glasses on, and the following year we see more and put everyone in his 3d goggles again. There comes a time when you not more so often about need to have.’ According to Ryan believes however, Sony is still in 3d. “Where it makes sense, we stop 3d-technology in our games.’
