Olympus may work on a new dslr with Four Thirds lensmount. The Japanese company confirms that they are working on ‘a body to the focusprestaties to provide users of the series ‘Top Pro’lenses expect’.

The message that Olympus of a new camera body for Top Pro lenses works, appeared on the Uk Facebook page of the company. The British division says that the confirmation came from Akira Watanabe, planningsmanager of Olympus’ Imaging SLR department. Watanabe would be gold plated with the success of the Micro Four Thirds OM-D, but admit that it failed in regards to the legacy of the earlier high-endlenzen of the E-system.

Although the statement may refer to a new dslr with Four Thirds lensmount, is also not to exclude that Olympus on a different solution works better AF performance with Four Thirds lenses to offer. More details will follow, according to Olympus UK. Many Four Thirds users, and others were in the expectation that the E-5 dslr from 2010, the last in the Four Thirds series Olympus would be, but it is possible, therefore, that is not the case.
