LG brings in Europe in september a smarthone with a 5″screen with 4:3 aspect ratio. The competitor of the big smartphone Galaxy Note from Samsung runs on a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor and includes a stylus.

The smartphone bears the name Optimus Vu, and shares many characteristics with the phone with the same name which LG this spring in several Asian countries, it was. So the device has the same screen, a 5″ips lcd with a resolution of 1024×768 pixels. Also is the housing the same, and the dimensions match.

The processor is however a total other: where in the Asian variant is still a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S3, same processor as in the HTC Sensation and Sony Xperia S, is the new Optimus Vu is equipped with a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3. That processor is also found in LG’s own European flagship model, the Optimus 4X HD.

The Optimus Vu also features in the European version, no support for 4g lte, while the Asian variant has. Also, the Optimus Vu in Europe from the release equipped with Android 4.0, while he was this spring in Asia, with 2.3 is released.

The Optimus Vu is true as LG’s variant on the concept of a cross-over between a phone and a tablet, something that Samsung last year as the first did with the Galaxy Note. Just like owners of the Galaxy Note, users of the Vu business enter with a scribe. The new Optimus Vu should be on the market in september. The list price is still unknown.
