HTC has on consumer electronics IFA, the Desire X will be presented. The smartphone will get a 4″screen and runs on a cheaper version of Qualcomms Snapdragon S4 processor. The phone coming in september to the Netherlands.
The 4″screen of the Desire X has a resolution of 800×480 pixels, as is apparent from the specifications. The screen is a slcd like HTC that has been previously applied in, among others, the One V and Sensation. The storage memory is 4GB and can be expanded with a sd-card.
The specifications mention a Snapdragon S4 processor, but this is not to the strong soc from the HTC One S. It is a S4 Play processor, with the model number MSM8225. Instead of the two Krait cores, has two processor cores on the much less powerful Cortex A5 core. The gpu is not the Adreno 225, but a significantly less powerful Adreno 223. However, HTC has its own imager added. The phone can 5-megapixelfoto’s shooting, while videos up to 800×480 pixels can be made. The smartphone runs on Android 4.0.4, covered with HTC’s proprietary skin Sense 4.
Appearance the phone is a bit like the One X, but in contrast to the most expensive model, the Desire X is a removable accuklep. The battery has a capacity of 1650mAh. The Desire X is given as a suggested retail price of 329 euros, and by the end of september in Dutch shops.
