Dell sells hardware to consumers

Dell has in the past quarter moderately performed. The income on the consumer market walked back with a whopping 22 percent. Also on the business market were the revenues back, though much less hard.

The last quarter put the Dell on the consumer market with 2.6 billion dollars; 22 percent fewer than a year earlier. The operating profit – the net sales without the deduction of such things as taxes, amounted to only 14 million dollars; a very small margin.

Also in other markets it went worse with the company of Michael Dell. On the wholesale market took Dell’s 4.5 billion dollar; 3 percent fewer than a year earlier. In the small and medium sized enterprises was 3.3 billion dollars, a decline of 1 percent. In the public sector took the revenue down 6 percent to 4.1 billion dollars.

Company took the operating profit, a key measure for the success of a company, the last quarter, with 21 percent, to 901 million euros. If one looks at the past six months, took the operating profit even with 27 percent, to 1.7 billion dollars. A year earlier this was still $ 2.3 billion. The income names in the last quarter, with 8 percent to 14 billion dollars; the earnings by 18 percent to 732 million dollars.

The later than planned launch of Ivy Bridge processors, and in particular the cheaper dualcores for desktops, and the upcoming release of Windows 8 would be factors that play a role in the moderate figures of Dell.
