There is a document published with the specifications of AMD’s upcoming cpus, including cpus codenamed Vishera. The fastest cpu, with eight cores, would be at 4.2 GHz can tap. AMD is also bringing a hexa and a quad-core.

AMD’s current high-end cpus, the FX-series, is based on the Bulldozer architecture. The new cpus, codenamed Vishera, are based on the Piledriver architecture, a small refresh of the Bulldozer architecture. According to the document, get the fastest variant, the FX-8350, a clock speed of 4.0 GHz, which with Turbo Boost can go up to 4.2 GHz. These speeds also apply to the quadcore variant, the FX-4320. The hexacore FX-cpu tap 3.5 GHz, which is increased up to 4.1 GHz using Turbo Boost.

The maximum clock speed of the FX-8350 is 4.2 GHz is as high as that of the FX-8150, AMD’s current fastest cpu. The FX-8150 tap by default, however, at 3.6 GHz, which is ten percent slower than the FX-8350. The Vishera cpus are still on 32nm baked and have tdp’s that are comparable to those of their predecessors. The expectation is that AMD’s new FX cpu’s in a few months to release, at the same time with Windows 8.
