Acer launches its first Android 4 smartphone in early september. That notifies a retailer on its website. The CloudMobile has a 4.3″screen with 1280×800 pixels, the highest pixel density on a smartphone till now.
The resolution of 1280×800 is as high as that of the Samsung Galaxy Note, but which has a 5.3″screen. The Acer CloudMobile has a lcd with rgb layout. With a diagonal of 4.3″ and a resolution of 1280×800, the Acer smartphone has the highest number of pixels per inch on a smartphone to date: 351. The sharpest screens until now, the Sony Xperia S and the Us device HTC Rezound, both of which have a resolution of 1280×720 pixels on a 4.3″screen. The iPhone 4S and 4 have a ppi of 326.
The unit was already in February presented, but come the beginning of september to the Netherlands. That is from the product page of the retailer Expansys. The retailer lists a release date of 5 september and a price of 350 euros. The CloudMobile contains a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 soc with a clock speed of 1.5 GHz. The dualcore soc is likely the MSM8960 or the MSM8260A, which also serves in the HTC One S and that this fall in many new smartphones will appear. The phone runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and has no physical or capacitive buttons; the buttons are displayed on the screen.
