Samsung will repair hairline cracks under warranty

Samsung will repair hairline cracks in the Galaxy S III under warranty. That says the manufacturer in a statement to Tweakers.net. According to the manufacturer, the damage is rare. The cause of the cracks in the housing is not clear.

The cracks came to light through photos that a tweaker of his unit had made. Although every Samsung Galaxy S III by his finish in the corners, small seams may have, the hairline cracks just at other places, such as under the volume buttons and underneath the physical home button.

Update Friday, 13:11: A user reports that the repair in detail. The edge seems to be no loose edge, but is the backplate of the screen, so the entire screen needs to be replaced.
