The judge who was responsible for the uitleveringszaak of Kim Dotcom stepped down. This was after he a note had made
during a discussion about copyright, in which he suggested that the U.S. ‘the enemy’ is.

During the internet conference NetHui, who last weekend in New Zealand was held, recalling David Harvey, a judge in the uitleveringszaak of Kim Dotcom, to the uitspaak: “We have met the enemy and he is [the] U. S.”, that writes the New Zealand Herald. The quote is from the old comic strip Pogo, from the American cartoonist Walt Kelly. The judge gave after the conference that the note which he had made in the context of a copyrightdebat ‘independence’ in the proceedings could bring and decided then to pull back.

The lawsuit over the extradition of Kim Dotcom and his colleagues, earlier this month postponed until march 2013. The New Zealand judge Nevin Dawson will be the case further treatment. Dawson is not unfamiliar with the matter Dotcom; in February of this year, he decided that the accused in the MegaUpload case on conditional release should come.
