BIPT will take action against illegal repeaters because here a permit is required. The Belgian telecomwaakhond warns people not just on their own, a gsm or umts repeater are allowed to make bets in order to improve the reception.

If BIPT illegal use finds the repeater may be confiscated and there may be a legal procedure to be started. BIPT calls on people who own a repeater in use has taken this out of service immediately to take and unusable’.
