Microsoft announces acquisition of Yammer to

Microsoft has confirmed that the Yammer takes for an amount of 1.2 billion dollars, after having already previously rumored to came out. The company for business social media is part of Microsoft’s Office branch.

According to Microsoft, continues to Yammer ceo David Sacks the leadership to retain, he shall, within the Office Division, where the company will fall, be called to account by Kurt DelBene. It can, however, Yammer are software products independently continue to develop, but it is likely that there is integration with software from Microsoft. Currently supports Yammer already integrates with Microsoft Sharepoint.

Yammer can be seen as a commercial variant on Twitter and has been since 2008. Companies can have an internal community to create in which employees messages can be exchanged. There are currently about 5 million business users.
