LG put the development of new tablets in the tentative stop

LG stops for the time being, tablets develop. That let the manufacturer know in a statement to financial news agency Bloomberg. LG has in the past year and a half, two tablets announced, of which there is still a sale in the Netherlands.

The South Korean manufacturer says the development of tablets on a siding to turn in favour of the development of smartphones, according to Bloomberg. It is unclear whether LG have tablets in development and or models are cancelled as a result of this decision.

LG brought in the past few years two tablets on the market, both with an 8.9″screen and Android. The Optimus Pad 3D has two cameras on the back and a screen that offers the possibility of wearing glasses for 3d content. Like all Android tablets out of that first batch turned the Optimus Pad 3D on a standard version of Android 3.0 Honeycomb, a Nvidia Tegra 2 processor. In January, it announced that LG the Optimus Pad LTE, without a 3d screen and with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor.

The manufacturer is focusing on smartphones. LG brings one of these days the Optimus 4X HD, a smartphone with 4.7″lcd with 720p resolution and a quad-core-Nvidia Tegra 3 processor. LG has long been not very successful in the European market, but thanks to phones with 4g support, the company said in the past half year, good results in the United States and Asian countries.
