Vodafone is considering introduction sim card against bullying

Vodafone considers to be in the Netherlands sim cards to provide parents the phone of their kids remotely to be able to control via a web interface. The provider begins in the Uk with the sale of such sim cards.

Vodafone Netherlands will be following the experiences in the United Kingdom to decide whether the sim card in the Netherlands also will be sold, says spokesman Bart Bakker at Tweakers.net. “We follow with great interest and see how it runs with our British colleagues.”

Baker sees a great interest for such matters. Vodafone already has an app with similar functionality. As soon as the child the app off, it gets the parent a text message. A difference with the sim is that the child, the latter was not able to switch it off. The app of Vodafone in the Netherlands, downloaded 30,000 times, claims the provider.
