Samsung burps well thanks to smartphones and screens

Samsung says its record over the past quarter partly to have been achieved by increasing sales of its smartphones and panels. The electronics giant confirms more or less that the Galaxy S III before the summer in the shops.

Samsung says that it expects the momentum from strong growth in sales will continue after the announcement of the next Galaxy smartphone on may 3rd in London. That indicates that a part of the sales have to come from the device than is announced. All the rumors suggest that Samsung Galaxy S III announced.

The electronics giant attributes his good results is largely attributed to his smartphonetak. In Europe and the United States did, especially the big smartphone Galaxy Note the good, draws Samsung to in the discussion of quarterly figures. In emerging markets like India grew the demand for smartphones is already more than in other regions.

Since some time the manufacturer does not have exact sales figures to the more well-known, but analysts expect that Samsung around 90 million phones sold and thus Nokia dethroned as the market leader. Also in the area of smartphones would Samsung be a market leader; it would, according to analysts, in each case, more smartphones sold than the 35 million iPhones that Apple shipped.

Also in the area of the screens did Samsung make good business. The gigant is sold to say a little more than 20 percent of its tv panels than in the same period last year, partly due to the growth in the demand for led tv’s and 3d screens. Also the demand for panels with high resolution for tablets grew. Samsung referring, presumably, partly on the iPad, which Samsung the screen with a 2048×1536-pixel resolution makes.

The sale of Samungs own televisions compared with the same period last year hardly changed, compared to the previous quarter, however, with slightly more than 30 percent. The share of led tvs sold by Samsung tv’s is rose. Last year, this was slightly more than 50 percent, while that now according to the manufacturer nearly 60 percent.

The profit for the quarter was 3.9 billion euros, almost a doubling compared to the same quarter a year ago. The turnover stood at 30 billion euros.
