RIM announces BlackBerry 10 officially

RIM has during his own event BlackBerry World, the new operating system BlackBerry 10 was officially announced. The QNX based software will need the old BlackBerry OS to follow up and coming early next year.

During the presentation of the new OS was a prototype of a BlackBerry 10-powered smartphone presented by RIM ceo Thorsten Heins. At the demonstration it became clear that on the homescreen of the new operating system four widgets can be placed. BlackBerry 10 first appeared on the scene during a private event in October 2011. The OS was BBX, but had to be renamed because of infringement on the trademark rights of another company.
