HP Wednesday a reorganization announce where the 25,000 to 30,000 job cuts, according to multiple U.s. media. The largest computer manufacturer in the world would be more willing to invest in research and sales.

How many jobs exactly on the trip is still unclear: Bloomberg has about 25,000 in Business Insider about 10 to 15 percent of the total workforce of the group, bringing the total to 32.000 to 48.000 might come true, taking into account the total number of employees of around 320,000. This last number seems very unlikely.

All Things Digital means, on the basis of his sources at about 30,000 jobs, which is about a year’s time deleted would be. Veterans and employees in the higher layers of management would not be spared. HP would be around 5000 jobs to the voluntary redundancy aim. China would hardly be affected by the reorganization. HP considers China as an important growth market.

The purpose of the reorganization is, according to the New York Times, to the money that can be saved to use for the development of new products and to increase the efficiency of the sales department to improve. The restructuring of the company would be part of the vision of ceo Meg Whitman to HP a completely new company. Nevertheless, it is not likely that the manufacturer markets where the asset is going to leave.

HP has noisy times behind the back, with former ceo Mark Hurd the company left after allegations of sexual harassment. His successor, Léo Apotheker left HP then after a year because of disappointing results and criticism of radical decisions if it is to stop with WebOS it acquired Palm, and the sale of its pc department.
