Onlive Desktop switches from Windows 7 to Server 2008

After complaints from Microsoft, OnLive for tablets now a virtual desktop on Windows Server 2008 is running. The streaming service offered until recently Windows 7, but OnLive had, according to Microsoft is not the correct license for that.

Website The Verge discovered that OnLive no longer Windows 7 offers as a virtual desktop for tablets. That seems to be a response to the complaints that Microsoft previously expressed. According to the Windows supplier had OnLive is not the correct license for Windows 7 as a streaming service to tablets to offer. OnLive is now, however, switched to Windows Server 2008 and provides the servervariant of Windows 7 as a virtual desktop. This would OnLive have the proper license.

Whether the move is a response to the complaints of Microsoft, wants to OnLive does not say. The company, according to a spokesman never details about license agreements. It is unclear whether OnLive Microsoft Office as a streaming service can continue to offer. Also there made Microsoft objected because OnLive is not properly licensed. OnLive sets despite the switch to the server version of Windows still the only company that makes it possible to run Windows on a tablet, including Flash.
