The Dutch Railways want apps that the price of a train ride to show the ‘likely’ pre-approved. This is evident from an e-mail to users of the api. Developers that the data would need to have a contract.

The api to get prices to show off, as it turns out from the e-mail whose text is in the possession of Tweakers.net. “By doing this we get the green light within NS to the static schedule. The request is therefore for the prices-service from your application to get if you are making use of this web service. According to the general terms and conditions the minimum period of notice 1 month, prices service will, therefore, at least until 17 may 2012 continue to be available.”

Developers can still make use of the possibility to set the price of a train ride to show, but must have a separate contract to be concluded. Also, the app will probably be approved in advance. “Within the agreements related to the use of the prizes-api is probably a reviewronde by NS before an application is published.” The use of prices-data is still free.

Since some time there is an api of the NS data directly to the carrier to pick up and in apps. This used developers often circuitous routes to the data in their app, such as the mobile website of the NS.
