Jay Wilson, head of the Diablo III development team, late in a blog know that the PvP Arena System is not included is if the game in the store. The Player versus Player section will appear in a patch after the release of the rpg.
Wilson has the in his own words ‘difficult decision’ to take to PvP Arena System-release cut of the rest of the game. The multiplayer portion does not yet meets our standard, ” says Wilson in the blog. “After much discussions and considerations, we felt that delaying the whole game purely and only because of the PvP-section, a punishment would be for everyone that is waiting on the campaign and the co-op section, which are both just about complete,” says Wilson.
According to the head of the development team will be the PvP patch, which after release of the game appears to consist of ‘various Arena maps, with a matchmaking system that teams are simply teams of equal strength can be found in order to fight against it. There is also a “personal progression system” and special PvP-achievements. Finally, let Wilson loose that Blizzard the day counts down to the releasedate of Diablo III to announce.’
