Nokia stops his payment service Nokia Money. The service, which lets people money to each other could make, was only the ge lwa site in India. Nokia wants to concentrate on phones and the services.

Nokia does not mention any reason for the stop Nokia Money, but probably came to the service not of the ground, draw Reuters news agency. The service was mainly intended for countries where many people do not have a bank account. Nokia Money had the first ‘payment service’ in addition to cash.

While Nokia Money is already in 2009, it was announced, the service was only at the end of last year for the first time taken into use in India. In other countries, the service never started, probably partly due to the lack of ‘agents’, that the payments should lead.

The Finnish manufacturer has a large market share in developing countries and says has been to focus on bringing ‘the next billion’, the hundreds of millions of people in developing countries who, thanks to the fall in prices of phones with internet access for the first time to come online and do more with their phone than make calls and send text messages. Nokia Money was one of the pillars of that strategy. The manufacturer says that it is still to focus on selling phones with internet access in developing countries.
