Microsoft takes Marketplace for Windows Mobile 6 in may offline

Microsoft is planning to make the application store to older versions of its mobile operating system offline. The Marketplace for Windows Mobile, the predecessor of Windows Phone, from 9 may no longer be available.

This is evident from an e-mail that is sent to Windows Mobile users. From may 9, is the Marketplace app for Windows Mobile 6.x no longer use. There are no applications longer be downloaded: those who still have apps to install, it will need to sideload, for example, by the installation files on to ask the developer.

Previously took a Microsoft web site for Windows Mobile apps already offline, but the Marketplace app on the devices of users is still working. This is so as at 9 may not be used. Microsoft urges users to date applications of any updates to provide.

With the offline fetch of the downloadwinkel for Windows Mobile will probably finally end a part of the support by Microsoft for the legacy mobile OS offers. The company’s focusing all his arrows now on Windows Phone, the successor of Windows Mobile. The Marketplace for Windows Mobile contains 7000 apps. Many developers chose to make their app not in Marketplace, because many users made use of sideloading, for example, by installation files, other services, download or forums.
