Lenovo calls the all-in-ones back due to risk of fire

Lenovo wants to 160,000 ThinkCentres recall because of possible problems with the power supply. Two users reported that their all-in-one-pc flame have captured. Lenovo recommends to the relevant series, M70z and M90z, not more to use.

The two series are the ThinkCentre M70z and M90z, which were sold between may 2010 and January 2012. Lenovo has been discovered that the systems by a fault in the psu under certain circumstances, it may overheat and a fire can fly. Two customers have such a situation reported to the computer company.

According to Lenovo, but a few models out of the M70z and M90z series prone to the problem. Customers can check this on the support website of the Chinese company and, if necessary, their power supply replaced. Until that time their recommended all-in-one-computers do not use the power cord from the power outlet.

Lenovo is not the first company where this happens. Many laptopbouwers all systems need to recall due to danger for ontvlammende psu’s and batteries.
