The British broadcaster BBC wants an on-demand service start for his television programs. Many producers see it, however, not due to the financial lwa le uncertainty. The BBC already offers many programs via iPlayer.
The BBC wants a ‘download to own’model setting, where the broadcasting of tv programs translated to 2.25 euros per episode offer, reports PaidContent. Of that price would be the broadcaster 47 cents, content, or 21 percent, as a fee for hosting and distributing the content. The offer would consist of all of the series that the BBC is broadcasting and have broadcast.
Some producers are behind the idea.
