Valve remove cross-platform-option Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Valve wanted to make it possible for the PlayStation 3 version of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive against the versions for the pc and OS X to play. After a b lwa tatest of the shooter goes to the company that option, however, back out of the game delete.

Valves Chet Faliszek showed opposite site Joystiq release that the company’s cross-platform functionality of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive wants to drop. “The beta test has made it clear that we are not only the bètaclient, but also the pc version of the game after release regularly wish to update it,” says Faliszek. “To achieve that, we need the platforms separate, so that one platform, the other not get in the way. Therefore, we have the idea of cross-platform play and thus, we hope, ultimately, each individual platform to make it stronger.”

Valve announced in August that the PlayStation 3 version of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive played would be against the version for Windows or Mac OS X. Valve may for the versions for Windows and Mac OS X to decide when the patches or updates, etc. At the consoleversies of the game, that also appears for the Xbox 360, that’s not the case. Updates need for approval along platformhouders Sony and Microsoft, every update to a comprehensive test subjects. That makes the patching of console games lasts longer. Valve wants to patch the versions for Windows and Mac OS X since apparently not wait.
