Sony provides Cyber-shot HX20V-travelzoom of 20x zoom lens

Sony has seven new Cyber-shot compact cameras announced. The HX20V has a 20x zoom lens and a new Exmor R image sensor with 18.2 megapixels, while the HX200V-advanced bridge camera with this new sensor.

The Cyber-shot HX20V is the successor of the Cyber-shot HX9V and adds mostly more zoom range and a new sensor. Instead of the 16x-zoom lens of its predecessor, now has a new 20x zoom lens used. Also is the sensor resolution increased, from 16.2 to 18.2 megapixels. Despite the higher resolution is the iso ceiling is raised from iso 3200 in the HX9V to iso 12,800, with the HX20V.

Just like the HX9V, which was known for its good performance, the HX20V 1080/50p video recording. Also, the gps and panorama functionality is preserved. The body is on details changed, with a different gripvorm.

Also announced, Sony HX10V and H90. The HX10V has the same sensor with 18.2 megapixels as the HX20V, but makes use of the 16x-zoom lens of the HX9V. The HX10V has a slightly different appearance than the HX20V. The H90 has the same appearance and the same 16x-zoom lens as the HX10V, but makes use of a ccd image sensor with 16.1-megapixel.

In addition, announces, Sony Cyber-shot HX200V. This is a so-called advanced bridge camera with 30x-zoom lens of its predecessor, the HX100V. He, however, has the same sensor, with 18.2 megapixels, as the HX20V. Just like the HX100V, the HX200V a 3″vga lcd to the top and the bottom swivel is.

The robust and waterproof TX10 is followed by the TX20, though the differences between the two models is very slight. The TX20 has a bsi-cmos image sensor with 16.2 megapixels, a 4x zoom lens with a wide angle of effective 25mm in small and a 3″vga lcd. From the specifications it appears that the TX20 at 1080/50i video with a higher bitrate can record than the TX10.

Noteworthy is further the WX100. Sony claims that this model with a thickness of 17.5 mm the smallest compact camera with a 10x-zoom lens. The WX100 is equipped with the new Exmor R image sensor with 18.2 megapixels and has a maximum video resolution of 1080/50i.
