Samsung offers in Korea a dualcore version released are 5″-Galaxy Player pmp-line. The processor in the Galaxy Player 70 Plus, as the device is called, it runs with a clock speed of 1GHz and has a camera with 5 megapixels.
The new media player from Samsung is the successor of the Galaxy Player 70. The biggest change is the use of a dualcore soc, but what that exactly is is in the middle left. Probably the same Exynos-soc as in the Galaxy S II smartphone. It is the first time that Samsung has a processor with two cores, used in its Galaxy-mediaspelerlijn.
In addition, Samsung at the Galaxy Player 70 Plus use of a 5-megapixel camera, while the predecessor still used a copy with 3.2 megapixels. The new pmp comes in variants with 16 or 32GB of storage and has a dmb tv tuner built in for watching wireless tv in Korea. The battery has a capacity of 2500mAh.
In Europe, Samsung under the name samsung Galaxy S Wi-fi 5.0 is already a media player with similar specifications as the Galaxy Player 70 released, while the pmp with singlecore-soc in the United States, Galaxy Player 5.0 is called. It is not known whether Samsung have a dual-core variant of these models will be released.
