At the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona was a Toshiba tablet shown with a screen diagonal of 7.7″ and Nvidia’s Tegra 3 soc. The software is based on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Probably this is still a prototype.
The screen of the tablet has a resolution of 1280×800 pixels. Additionally, the tablet is very thin to the touch. There are two cameras built in, but data on the number of megapixels is still missing. On the back is also a flash built in.
The tablet was found on the floor of the fair and was shown by Nvidia, but was not by Toshiba itself announced. Because a name is also still missing, the device is probably still only a prototype. Therefore, it is still unknown when Toshiba tablet on the market.
With the installation of the Tegra 3, Toshiba is one of the many manufacturers that have a product with Nvidia’s quadcore-soc on the market. Among others, HTC, Huawei and Asus announced at Mobile World Congress products with the Tegra 3. Toshiba was already a Tegra 3 tablet expected, after this on the CES fair was found; when was the tablet itself, however, behind the glass, and has been nothing released.
