Nokia one of Symbian devices overclock as that an update be provided to Belle FP1. It rarely happens that a manufacturer, after the release an update, the processor run at higher clock speed.

The overclock is applied on only two devices, only the Nokia 700 available in the Netherlands. The Symbian device is available since the last quarter of the year and became as it was shipped with Nokia Belle, then the latest version of Symbian.

The processor, instead of 1GHz clocked at 1.3 GHz. It is still unclear what processor is in the device, but Nokia has in any case said that it’s going to be a cpu based on the heavily outdated ARM11-core. Devices with processors around the ARM11 core are built up, include the HTC Hero and Touch Diamond and the iPhone 3G.

Nokia Belle FP1 brings further improvements in the notification bar, the menu of apps to switch. Also is Dolby Digital Plus added to the listening of music and watching videos to improve. Also, there is a new browser with html5 support, a new version of navigation application is Nokia Maps and Office programs via an over-the-air-download.

Only a few recent phones will get Nokia Belle FP1. Although Nokia is not the exhaust, it seems obvious that devices such as the N8, E7 and X7, not of the firmware-updates will be provided. However, it is possible that the new browser, Maps and Office-applications via the applications-updates to older devices are pushed.

Nokia Belle FP1 was this week on telecombeurs Mobile World Congress is presented in conjunction with the new camera-phone 808 PureView. The PureView has a 41MP sensor to more details to be able to show in photos at lower resolutions. The 808 PureView should be around the summer in Belgium come true. The device also comes to the Netherlands is unclear.

It rarely happens that a manufacturer, after the release, the clock speed of the processor through an update opschroeft. In custom roms, however, is common.
