Microsoft demonstrates augmented reality mirror with a Windows Phone

Microsoft at its annual TechForum event in augmentend reality-mirror is shown. This is the use of a Kinect sensor, a translucent mirror and an lcd. Also can a smartphone be used.

The augmented reality system, that Microsoft ‘Holoflector’, and reminiscent of the 3d gui that is also on the event was presented. This system is, however, a translucent mirror, and behind it a lcd. The latter can be used, for example, the mirror image of a person with a graphic overlay or an animation to show.

The movements of the body of the person for the translucent mirror to be tracked by a Kinect sensor on the top, while separately the movements of a Windows Phone smartphone in the hand can be followed on the basis of motion sensors in the phone.

In the video of the demonstration is to see how Andy Wilson, who, along with Stevie Bathiche, the original creator of Microsoft Surface, a small animation of himself from one hand to the other to pass. He also shows how the smartphone, a ball can hold the ball up. The smartphone is than a virtual paddle.
