Intel has plans for his Medfield-soc explained during the Mobile World Congress. The chip maker is still to come this year with a successor to the performance of the current model should double. There will also be a budget-soc.
The first Medfield-soc, the Z2460, is already several Android manufacturers used for the yet to be released smartphones. During a presentation at the Mobile World Congress made Intel announced the Z2460 maximum clock speed of 2GHz can be achieved. The next generation will have the model number Z2580 and should be twice as good performing. It is also possible to add the soc to combine with the new XMM 7160 chip that is lte support.
Also want Intel with the Z2000 is a cheaper variant of its Medfield-soc release.
