The parliament of the European Union has reached agreement on the plans for roaming charges to reduce further. For example, in July, among other data, capped at 50 cents per MB. Also the prices of call minutes and sms must be down.
The bill was approved, but shall only come into effect after the parliament it has voted. This stemmingsronde would be in april can take place. The rates correspond to what Reuters news agency earlier brought out. The lowering of the rates will gradually take place; each year the maximum price will be reduced. The EU already had limits imposed on calling minutes and sms, but from July should also have data on a maximum price they are bound.
In July of this year should be a belminuut not more than 25 cents costs, and receiving calls is limited to 8 cents per minute. For a sms you are allowed to telco’s up 8 cents in the account, while data is capped at 50 cents per MB. In 2013 and 2014, further price reductions take place, so that for a belminuut, sms or MB, respectively, up to 15, 5 and 20 cents may be charged.
The EU is the prices that providers are mutually allowed to calculate for the use of the network also decrease. The prices for calling minutes, sms and data in parallel, on the consumer prices reduced. In 2014 allowed telco’s to each other for a belminuut, sms or MB, respectively, not more than 5, 1 and 5 cents in the account.
Currently there is no limit to the price of roaming data, so providers are usually significantly more questions than the prospective maximum price of 50 cents per MB. In addition, it appears that the limits on roaming charges and to cause sending of a sms outside the bundle to a domestic number often costs more than sending an sms from another EU country.
