A British privacyvoorvechter demands for Google to return the money that he paid for his Android phone. The Brit can’t find it in the new privacy policy of Google and claims that he therefore his Android phone not able to use.
The Brit has, therefore, lodged a complaint against Google. According to Hanff had a complaint against the seller of his phone, CarPhone Warehouse, or its provider make no sense, because they have no control over the privacy policy of Google. The privacyvoorvechter thinks he has a chance of success. “None of the legal experts that I spoke to, says that I stand a chance.”
Hanff requires 400 pounds, about 480 euro, for its HTC Desire to substitute a smartphone without Android. Then, a user can only make calls and send text messages, respond to the search giant against Independent.
The Google privacy policy is controversial. Privacywaakhonden from various European countries think that the new rules may be in conflict with the European legislation, so the privacy policy not entered should have had and, therefore, illegal.
