Archos has a new range of Arnova tablets in the pipeline. There are models with a 7″, 8″ and 10″-screen, all of which come with Android 4.0 devices seem to be the current Arnova series to follow.
The most high-end is the Arnova 7c G3, which runs on a Qualcomm MSM8255 processor with a clock speed of 1.4 GHz. There is a 3-megapixel camera on board, and the screen resolution of the 7″-model is 800×480 pixels. It is also a front-facing camera for video calling is present, and there is a mini-hdmi port built in.
In addition, there is a 7″model, as are variants with a 8″-, 9,7″ and 10.1″screen. All of them have a Rockchip RK2918 processor, which work at a clock speed of 1GHz. There is 1GB of ram present in the device. The screen resolutions of the 7″-, 8″-, 9,7″- and 10.1″models amounts successively 800×480, 800×600, 1024×768, and 1024×600 pixels.
Finally, Archos, the Arnova 7d G3, which closely resembles the already announced Child Pad which on children is addressed, and also a screen diagonal of 7″. The Child Pad has, however, a custom interface, while the Arnova 7d G3 over the standard Android interface. In this model, one can choose between a capacitive screen and a resistive screen, like a 10.1″variant.
All new G3-tablets have 4GB built-in memory and Android Ice Cream Sandwich. The Android Market is not included; the tablets come with Archos’ own Appslib downloadwinkel. It is still unclear when the tablets will be officially announced. Prices are also missing, but it is clear that the devices the budgetmarkt should operate. Also clear from the naming that the new series of the existing G2 tablets must be replaced, which on Android 2.3 to run and has less ram.
