Acer announces new V3-medianotebooks to

Acer has during his press conference at the Cebit technology fair in Hanover, a new series multimedianotebooks announced. The V3-laptops come in 14″-, a 15.6″- and 17.3″models, and include Intel’s Ivy Bridge processors.

Acer had both a 15,6″ and 17,3″model from the new V3-series at Cebit exhibited and with that last, we could play for a while. The notebook was powered by a Core i7 3610QM 2.3 GHz, which is a processor from Intel’s yet to introduce Ivy Bridge-series. Furthermore, the device is a whopping 16GB of ram and a GT640 graphics card from Nvidia with 2GB of video memory built in. What configurations exactly in the stores will end up is not yet known, but the chassis has two 2.5″slots, which not only for two hard drives, but also for a ssd and hard drive can be chosen.

The device has a black glossy finish on the top and on the strip around the touchpad. The area of the touchpad to the schermscharnieren is grey. The keyboard is slightly recessed and is like many other laptops of Acer is composed of chiclet keys. The keyboard has a nice touch and was not far in press. The touchpad from the manufacturer Elan has a large size and has two physical buttons. The support for multitouchgebaren was good in each other and especially the two-finger scroll was very smooth.

17.3″model has an image resolution of 1600×900 pixels and the screen is lit by leds. The notebooks from the V3 series are according to Acer equipped with Dolby Home Theater technology, but what effect that has on the sound quality of the speakers, fell on the noisy show floor to check. Also have the V3’s and with an optional blu-ray player, a card reader, gigabit ethernet, hdmi and vga outputs, bluetooth 4.0, and both usb 3.0 and 2.0 ports, to which external devices can be charged while the laptop is turned off.
