ZTE brings first smartphone with a 3g chip from Nvidia

The Chinese phone manufacturer ZTE, the Mimosa X smartphone announced. It is also the first device that a 3g chip from Nvidia; the result of Nvidia’s acquisition of 3g – and 4g-modem manufacturer Icera at the beginning of last year.

The Mimosa X is based on the Tegra 2 dualcore soc, which cooperates with the Icera 450-basebandchip from Nvidia for the setting up of 3g connections.
