The Chinese phone manufacturer ZTE, the Mimosa X smartphone announced. It is also the first device that a 3g chip from Nvidia; the result of Nvidia’s acquisition of 3g – and 4g-modem manufacturer Icera at the beginning of last year.
The Mimosa X is based on the Tegra 2 dualcore soc, which cooperates with the Icera 450-basebandchip from Nvidia for the setting up of 3g connections. Thus, ZTE is the first device in hands with a 3g chip from Nvidia. The French version (obtained the technology for such chips to make it through in may last year manufacturer Icera to take over.
The midrange smartphone has a 4.3″screen with a resolution of 960×540 pixels and will release the latest version of Android running: Ice Cream Sandwich.
