The Dutch grid operators want the next two years at 450.000 households and small businesses with a smart meter. The surgery involves the operators up to and including 2014 to approximately 130 million euros in costs.
Minister Verhagen Thursday in the Amsterdam district of Watergraafsmeer given the go-ahead for the installation of the first smart energy meters in a nationwide roll-out.
