Spire introduces TMEIII-cooler

The Dutch hardware manufacturer Spire has made his third TherMax Eclipse cooler, the TherMax Eclipse III, or simply TMEIII, released. This high-end cooler must be both Intel’s and AMD’s heethoofden with six cores can cool.

The latest Eclipse has a similar heatpipe configuration as its predecessor: both coolers are equipped with five copper heatpipes 8mm in diameter. The heat pipes through a copper base contact with the heatspreader of the processor and carry the heat to the forty-five aluminum fins of the TMEIII. The older version II had a koelribje extra, but nevertheless, would be the new version to perform better.

An important difference is of course the support for more modern sockets: the TMEIII can on the latest Intel lga2011 socket is to be mounted. Also, there is support for the FM1-socket AMD hexacores from the Thuban series and “octacores” from the FX-series in AM3 sockets are pricked, may also be cooled. The air flow is through one or two 120mm Blackstar 7-fans are provided, which by means of pwm at 500 to 1800rpm. The TMEIII should be mid-march for a suggested retail price of 49 euros available.
