Samsung has new versions of its Galaxy Tab announced that the name Galaxy Tab 2 get. The specifications are largely similar to its predecessor, but the design is slightly modified and the tablet runs on Android 4.0
In total, Samsung on the eve of the annual telecombeurs Mobile World Congress in Barcelona two new versions of its Tab tablet announced: a 10.1″ and a 7″model. The front of the new Tab doesn’t exist as its predecessor, just off the screen with a black bezel; to the left and right side curl of the material of the rear panel to the side, which at the front and a grey strip to see. This has the new Tab, much like the Tab 10.1 N, a modified version that Samsung for the German market developed under a sales ban. A German court had ruled that the original Tab 10.1 too much on Apples iPad seemed.
In the area of specifications, the Tab 2 10.1 is largely the same as its predecessor. So it is still a 1GHz dualcore soc, presumably the Tegra 2, there is 1GB of ram present, and the Super PLS display has a resolution of 1280×800 pixels. The speakers have been moved to the front of the device, beside the screen.
The new Tab 2 10.1 will be shipped with Android Ice Cream Sandwich, complemented by Samsung’s own TouchWiz skin. With a thickness of 9.7 mm, the tablet is not as thin as its predecessor, which is only 8.6 mm thick. The weight is reduced, of 595 grams to 588 grams. The tablet measures 256,6×175,3mm.
The 7″version, the existence of which earlier by Samsung was confirmed, as regards the specifications remain under for the Tab 2 10.1, but will have to settle with a resolution of 1024×600 pixels. The 7″version is the 10.5 mm is slightly thicker than the 10.1 version, but is considerably smaller: 193,7×122,4mm.
The tablets should from the second quarter are on sale and come in both a wifi and 3g model on the market that for the Tab 2 10.1, respectively, 399 and 499 euros is going to cost you. The 7″model has a suggested retail price that one hundred euro is lower for both the wifi and 3g model.
