Panasonic has its second Eluga smartphone for the European market have been announced. The Eluga power has a 5″-720p screen and a Snapdragon S4 dualcore soc 1.5 GHz clocked. The device runs on Ice Cream Sandwich.
The name Eluga Power refers to the faster soc that Panasonic in its second Eluga smartphone. Instead of the 1GHz Omap4 chip in the Eluga smartphone with 4.3″-oled-display, makes this new model the use of the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core chip at 1.5 GHz, based on Qualcomms new Krait micro-architecture.
Just like the smaller Eluga model Panasonic last week at Panasonic Convention-event is announced, the Eluga power dust – and splash-proof according to the IP57 standard, and that is the smartphone with a weight of 133g and a thickness of 9.6 mm very light and thin to call it given its size. The 4.3″-Eluga weighs 103g and has a thickness of 7.8 mm.
Also, the Eluga power features support for nfc, bluetooth 3.0, gps and wi-fi b/g/n, and is used for physical connection uses a micro-usb connector. The smartphone is also equipped with a camera with eight megapixels.
The Eluga power has a 1800mAh battery. Panasonic claims that this, probably mounted battery is within a half-hour before the half charged, while the 80-procentgrens in just one hour is reached.
The 5″model differs in a number of points of the 4.3″-Eluga. Not only does it have a bigger screen that uses lcd instead of oled technology, the Eluga Power runs on Ice Cream Sandwich, while the smaller model, Android version until the next summer.
The Eluga power is in contrast to the earlier model is equipped with a front-facing camera and the 8GB internal memory can be expanded via a micro-sd slot. Prices and availability of the Eluga power are not yet known.
