There are details known of the new generation of video cards from Nvidia with gpu’s on board with the code name Kepler. The GK104-gpu would have been associated with the GTX 670 Ti, which is the battle with the HD 7950 should engage in.

The successors of the current gpu’s from the stable of Nvidia are no longer on (40 nm) is produced, such as the Fermi generation, but on 28nm. The gpu’s were given the code name Kepler, and would early april be introduced. Gradually, however, all information is available, such as the alleged pcb design for the GK107 gpu. This pcb will be used for two boarding passes, with a 128bit memory bus. The cards would be equipped with the GK107 chip, in combination with ddr3, gddr3 or gddr5 memory. The pcb reveals a design with a elfbladige fan, two dvi jacks and a mini-hdmi port.

For the higher segment is Nvidia’s first GK104-gpu on the gpu, that the GF114 would follow. In contrast to the GF114 gpu, the GTX 560 Ti is used, it would be Nvidia video cards based on the GK104-gpu name GTX 670 Ti. This is a midrange gpu a spot on a video card and Nvidia as a high-end want to label.

According to rumors, has the GK104-gpu about 1536 cuda cores and communicates with this via a 256-bit-memory bus with 2GB of gddr5 memory. The gpu would be a clock speed of 950MHz, which Nvidia abandoning the hotclocks. The cuda cores run in the current video cards from Nvidia, namely at a double speed of the gpu itself. Nvidia captures the lower clock speed with significantly more cuda cores; as well as the fastest gpu from Nvidia has only 512 cuda cores. The 670 Ti can, according to Nvidia compete with the GTX 580 and AMD’s HD 7950.
