The number of users of Opera Mini in a year’s time, with 67 million to 153 million, which the browser the largest market share on the mobile market. The Norwegian company also has two mobile advertising companies bought.
On the mobile market, the Mini-browser is currently the largest market share, with 23,34 percent, but Opera is chased by the standard browsers of Android and iPhone. At the end of 2010 had Opera Mini for about 90 million users, while in 2011 67 million have been added. On desktopgebied the browser is a lot less popular, the Norwegian browser but 57 million users.
The company reports that in 2011, 5.5 million euro profit made, compared to a loss of 75.000 euro in the previous year. Opera Software earns money by licensing its mobile browser, to provide mobile phone manufacturers and telco’s as the French Orange. Also, a portion of its revenues from the advertising platform AdMarvel.
