Nintendo has acquired Mobiclip, a French company that has existed longer video codecs, and delivers to the Japanese consolebouwer. Details about the acquisition were not disclosed. A codec, Mobiclip is used in the Nintendo 3DS.

Mobiclip is known from the video codecs that it does for the handhelds of the Japanese company. As provided Mobiclip video compression software for the Gameboy Advance, the Nintendo DS and the new 3DS.
