Nintendo has acquired Mobiclip, a French company that has existed longer video codecs, and delivers to the Japanese consolebouwer. Details about the acquisition were not disclosed. A codec, Mobiclip is used in the Nintendo 3DS.

So it is not known when the deal between Nintendo and the French is closed or how much money with the transaction is involved. Mobiclip is known from the video codecs that it does for the handhelds of the Japanese company.
