HTC has telecombeurs Mobile World Congress of its One-series of smartphones unveiled. The three smartphones, One X, One S and One V, all running on Android 4.0. The top model is the quad-core One X, along with the thin One S.
The One X runs on an Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, a quad-core with four Cortex A9 cores plus a lower geklokte processor core for lighter tasks. The lower geklokte core consumes less energy, and thereby the battery power. It is the first time in years that HTC for a European model not a Qualcomm processor.
The screen of the One X has a diagonal 4.7″ and a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. The screen is a lcd with a ips-like technique to make the colors more beautiful to view, and the viewing angles to improve. The screen is not coming from Sony, such as screens from previous models of HTC, but comes with Sharp and OU come from. In addition, HTC has the thickness to 9mm to keep some space saving decisions: the sim card is replaced by a micro-sim, there is no microsdhc slot, but only a built-in flash-memory size of 32GB and the battery is no longer removable. The housing is made of plastic, it also an nfc chip to be able to places. Also, whdmi present, to content wireless streaming to tvs.
The device has an 8-megapixel camera which according to HTC from the lockscreen within seconds a photo can make. Videos can be shot in 1080p at up to 60fps. The device runs on Android 4.0 and on top of HTC’s proprietary skin Sense 4. New in Sense is the integration with Dropbox and 25GB of free storage in the webopslagdienst. Also, is Beats Audio integrated in the device. The user will, however, not a Beats headset with the purchase of the smartphone. The One X should be in stores early april with a suggested retail price of 649 euros.
The second model is the One S. The slim device, 8mm thick, runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, a dual-core with a clock speed of 1.5 GHz. The S4 soc has no longer the old Scorpion core, but Qualcomms new Krait-micro-architecture. Therefore, the soc better performance at the same clock speed. The screen of the aluminium unibody smartphone has a diagonal of 4.3″ and is a Super Amoled panel of Samsung. The One S also has micro-sim support, a built-in battery and internal memory of 16GB expandable. The One S should be in mid-april release for a price of 549 euros.
The cheapest smartphone from the One series is the One V. It has a screen of 3.7″ with a resolution of 800×480 pixels. The One V, the htc Desire S is followed, the kinnetje under the screen in the HTC Hero and Legend was visible. The processor is a Qualcomm MSM8255, a singlecore with a clock speed of 1GHz. The One V has a traditional simslot, a removable battery and memory is expandable via microsdhc cards.
The three phones will be released with a new version of HTC’s skin, Sense. Thus, users can stills while shooting video. In addition, the camera would be faster. This includes among others integration with Beats Audio, Dropbox, and support for synchronization with iTunes. Also, the appearance taken care of. The home screens and the main menu look more like stock Android, while the major differences lie in the apps and the settings menu.
