‘Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 appears in the French Amazon – update

The French section of the Amazon web store seems to be the next game in the Call of Duty games series to have let you in. A French gamesite reports that the shop for the weekend, reported the existence of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.

The French website Gameblog.fr reported that Amazon Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 had included in his catalogue. The shop has the product pages now deleted, but Gameblog posted a few screenshots in the news that Black Ops 2 is still to be seen. Also are some of the logos to see which of Black Ops 2, but since the logo’s the same background as in Call of Duty: Black Ops, it doesn’t seem to go to the official logos of Black Ops 2.

Gameblog.fr wrote to confirm have contacted Activision France, and the publisher the writer of the message would have asked for the piece offline. When Gameblog do not agree to this went, it would be Activision all cooperation with the website have ended. So would Gameblog.fr no longer welcome on an upcoming Transformers: The Fall of Cybertron-born and Activision would be no tryouts, and more to the website send. According to Gameblog, various other French-language media have responded to the call of Activision.

If the claims of Gameblog.fr correct, the response from Activision on the question of confirmation of Gameblog.fr at the very least odd to be called that. The American publisher is hidden usually behind the standaardverklaring: “We do not comment on rumors.” Tweakers.net has Activison for an explanation asked for, and still waiting for an official statement from the publisher.

Although it cannot be excluded that the imagery of Gameblog.fr the work of a photoshopper, would be a successor to Call of Duty: Black Ops fit into the schedule that Activision is already a few years persists with the Call of Duty franchise. Ontwikkelstudio’s Treyarch and Infinity Ward alternate with Call of Duty games, and since Infinity Ward in november, Modern Warfare 3 released, it would be in 2012 is the turn of Treyarch. Black Ops was made in september with more than 23 million copies sold worldwide, the best-selling Call of Duty game ever for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. A successor would for that reason not illogical.

Update, 10:48: Joystiq reports after contact with Activision that it is a misunderstanding. According to an employee of Activision puts the publisher no journalists on a black list. The publisher would now work on a solution. Joystiq confirms the placement of Black Ops 2 through Amazon, and also refers to the cv of an employee of ontwikkelstudio Treyarch, Black Ops 2 was listed as a current project. His cv has now changed and Black Ops 2 is removed.
