The latest flagship ASRock barn bears the name Fatal1ty X79 Professional. The board was also developed, claiming ASRock, in collaboration with professional gamer Johnathan Wendel, better known as Fatal1ty.
The X79 motherboard would especially gamers need to appeal, reason for Wendel, which in the past several championships with gaming won, to his Fatal1ty brand to the board to connect. That translates in a so-called Fatal1ty Mouse Port, which allows the response time of a mouse can be customized. A Marvell-controller provides four sata-600 ports, which in addition to the two sata-600 and four sata-300 ports of the chipset can be used.
On the i/o panel are four usb 3.0 ports available, with another two headers on the motherboard, which for four ports can provide. ASRock provides a frontpanel with two usb 3.0 ports. Further, there are five usb 2.0 ports, two esata ports and a firewire port. ASRock has made no price and availability known.
